Some musings about my journey here. I don't always know where I'm going, but I do know Who I'm following. Care to join me?

We're back!
I have a million stories to tell and don't know where to start. For now, I know that we can change the world one act at a time and that love trumps all.
hi joyce, saw your pics as well as some pics people posted on forum and was horrified to see map quest type veiws of mamelodi. first i saw quante little neighborhoods, at least they seem to be, then as i moved the map i began to see this segragated area that reminded me of pictures of mexico in the early eighties.I was wandering who was funding the construction work there and why dont these people in the better hoods step up to the plate' also wondering where they get building materials and tools. one more thing, how much doe to goe
We fund it, Dan, through our trip fees and I'm assuming other funding through Crossroads as well. The people there step up as soon as they see us. They are more than willing to help. People can't give or do with what they don't have. The people in the better neighborhoods are doing what they have to do to care for their own families, just like anyone has to do anywhere. If you think unemployment is bad here, you should see the situation there. The cost can vary each trip, depending on airline rates, etc. This trip cost %3000 per person.
I'm just an ordinary woman who loves an extraordinary God. I'm happily married and crazy in love with my adorable and hilarious husband, Jeff. My passion is seeing people receive healing and wholeness from Jesus ... nothing humbles or excites me more than being at the feet of my King watching Him do the amazing things only He can do. I am insanely and more-than-extravagantly blessed and surrounded by some of the most amazing friends I have ever known, all met at Crossroads in a city where I didn't know a single soul. Incredible. I am spontaneous, loud, borderline obnoxious, compassionate, kind, a quick and frequent laugher, and the queen of procrastination. I spend my life laughing in the face of storms and flying by the seat of my pants.

Glad youre back.
Pissed you couldn't get my pygmie thru customs.
How about one story / event/ highlight at a time. At least it will keep your blog active.
Hump
Thanks, Drom. That's a good idea. I think I'll start doing that this week.
Sorry about the pygmie. They're so picky at customs!
