I'll say!

but, I fear we are in for four more years of it.

Americans are basically stupid and gullible. I hear women talking about jumping to McCain because of the woman VP nominee. Thats how shallow people are.

I can get over his voting 90% with Bush, the fact he graduated 5th from the bottom in his Naval Academy clss, that he has kowtowed to the religious right fanatics after dismissing them in 2000 as dangerous. I can live with his "not knowing much about economics", his pro war stance, and his convenient reversals on policies from bush's tax cut to immigration.

But I can't get over the cynical and obviously pandering appointment of this nobody woman who will stand a heart beat from the presidency...of a guy who has had cancer and is 72 yrs old.

Was THAT decision in the best interest of the nation? Or is it a cyncial vote geting ploy?

Does this appointment REALLY make people comfortable that he gives a damn about anything other than attracting women who have anger issues over Hitlary's loss to Obama, or "energizing" Evangelical Conservatives who didn't think McCain was invested in Jesus enough for them?

Does anyone really believe that of all the possible choices in the nation for a back up to an ancient President, that this is the BEST the nation has to offer? how far down the line would this nominee be in reality??? I'm guessing about 300th.

Mark my words... there are idiots who will hail this alaskan governor as the greatest thing since Abe Lincoln, and America will buy it. Most of them will be women, and evangelical Christians.

Disgraceful.

Agreed. I mean, heck, I'm prolife and a woman and I'm a pretty nice person. Would I make a good VP?

Hell no.
